Dear Parents,
What an absolutely wonderful evening we had at Cabin Fever 2024! We had a full house of enthusiasm and energy! The spirited crowd made for a most memorable time. Thank you for donating, attending, and all who helped set up, clean up, and work throughout the evening. As usual, Crave did not disappoint - thank you Jodi for all of your help and expertise. Thank you Laura Kieler (3 Sweets Bakery) for the desserts. The Home and School Committee members, and especially Mrs. Brettingen, Mrs. Schueller, and Mrs. Norton, thank you for the endless hours of computer time, organizing and planning. Our auctioneers, Jim and Dave, were right on target and it was truly a fabulous and crazy night. Joanne Theisen and Sarah Mowry knocked the honor ceremony out of the "parc" and Rick Heisler was speechless for the beautiful dedication and honor. Thank you all for such an amazing night! Thank you for your support and the gratitude you have shown me! I am honored to work with each and every one of you.
The time is finally here! YES IT IS GROUNDBREAKING TIME on Friday, March 22, at 2:00 PM. We will have our groundbreaking ceremony for our addition and we would love to have you join us, if you are able. The students, staff, school board, building committee, village employees, and builders will be joining us. The new daycare facility is anticipated to open September 1, 2024! Please come!
There is still time to apply for the Wisconsin Choice Program. Do you think you do not qualify? The annual income is based on your adjusted gross income (typically Line 11 on your 1040). Check with your accountant or financial advisor and they can help you navigate through this process. This is the only year that we will have OPEN ENROLLMENT for all students currently attending St. Matthew so make sure you check all of your options. Did you know that once you are in the Choice Program, you are in until your child/children get through grade 12? Yes, they can attend any private high school who participates in the Choice Program, including St. Mary Springs and WLA, absolutely FREE!!!!! Do not miss this opportunity. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Call us and we can help before the deadline on April 18!
What is the difference between a petition and an intercession? A petition is asking God for what you personally need, and an intercession refers to the act of praying on behalf of others or praying for another person's needs. Be specific and be intentional in what you ask God for and continue to pray for the needs of your family and friends. God listens and hears you.
Very blessed,
Joan Schlaefer
