Pastor Message

HOLY WEEK

This week is Holy Week, the week where we remember and travel with Jesus, to the last supper with his friends and followers, to the garden to pray, and where he will also be betrayed. We will journey with Jesus through his arrest, trial, and his death on the cross. We will also celebrate the joy of the resurrection. We will do this here at Grace Lutheran Church and Christians around the globe will celebrate as well. Here is a message from the ELCA's Presiding Bishop, Elizabeth Eaton.

Please join us for our services this week. And if you know of anyone searching for a place to be this Easter, invite them to worship with us!

-Pastor Maria and Pastor Joanna

Good Friday 7pm Worship

On Good Friday at 7pm, the Grace Choir (with special guests) will present a series of anthems and readings taking us through Jesus' crucifixion and death. Come and listen as we walk into the darkness before the Glory that is Easter morn.

Unraveled Worship Series

This Easter Season, we are inviting you to a special worship/sermon series entitled: Unraveled: Seeking God when plans fall apart. We will study the stories of people like Thomas, Elizabeth, Peter, the woman at the well, paying attention to their own ideas of what they expected and the magnificent ways that God breaks in, unraveling their ideas and plans to create something new. We will not only examine these stories in worship, but invite you to journal on your own and join our Wednesday evening bible study that will study these stories and share your own.

Construction Updates

Week of March 18 to 22, 2024

This past week there were small things that were being built, many that will be buried in walls and ceilings that made up the bulk of the efforts. The day care addition had door frames installed, ducts insulated, and sprinkler piping installed. Painting has been delayed by a couple of weeks while we wait for the installation of window frames. Efforts in the kitchen included the furring of the kitchen walls, a wall installed that will separate the kitchen from a storage room and plumbing for sinks and dishwashers. Steel in the entry area is about 85% complete. The last of the roof decking should arrive soon as should the last steel brackets need for attaching to the existing building.

APRIL 6th

12:00-1:45 PM

Calling all Meal Packers! Grace will be hosting a meal packing event at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids on Saturday April 6th, from 12:00 PM!

Grace has produced thousands of Mana Pack meals over the years that feed hungry children and vulnerable families around the world. The current need has never been greater, with a famine in the Horn of Africa and the war in Ukraine disrupting food shipments globally.

We have a history and tradition at Grace of packing meals for FMSC. At our last packing event in November, we had a great time packing meals for over 100 children to feed them for a year. It’s easy to learn if you’ve never done it before and it is also a family friendly way to serve!

We have reserved 50 slots, so feel free to bring a friend, neighbor, or family member. You can sign up through the link below, the Blue Sheets in Worship, or by calling the church office.

Thanks for serving and sharing God’s Love!
