Welcome Back, TRAM Students!

Enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors in some of our lovely parks.

Everyone at Three Rivers Area Mentoring hopes that you had a wonderful summer full of fun and relaxation. If you liked last year, you will love this year! Our classrooms have a fresh coat of paint, one of the rooms has a new carpet, and we have plans for some amazing adventures this year.

We've really been enjoying the outdoors this month. The kids enjoy walking to Three Rivers parks and we've already been to the Huss Project farm twice.

Here's to another amazing year of after-school programming for Three Rivers students. We are so happy to be back!

PeaceJam Slam

The TRAM After-School Program uses the PeaceJam Juniors curriculum as part of our programming. PeaceJam takes young people through a journey of self-discovery and mastery of six core competencies while engaging them in service-learning to address the most pressing issues facing their communities and the world - building compassionate leaders with character.

One of the highlights of PeaceJam programming is attending youth conferences where students can meet members of PeaceJam clubs from around the four-state Great Lakes region of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana.

The PeaceJam Slam is on Saturday, October 7th and will focus on mental health. Our students will be traveling to Western Michigan University for the conference with TRAM staff members.

Fun With Food

Our after-school program is grateful for our partnership with the Three Rivers Public Library! This month, our students got to make their own tasty treats! Thank you, Mr. B, for your dedication to the youth of Three Rivers!

TRAM Job Preparedness Program

Thanks to a generous grant from the Three Rivers Community Foundation, TRAM is bringing back our job preparedness program and it is better than ever!

We are currently recruiting high school students who wish to find a job in Three Rivers. Students will learn:

  • Resume-building skills
  • Interviewing skills
  • Basic job skills

We will arrange interviews with participating businesses and organizations. Once hired, students will be employed and will get paid by the business. However, we will continue to meet students to monitor their progress while employed.

If you are a student interested in participating, please email: TRAM@Frontier.com or call: 269.278.8726.

If you would like to become a partnering business,

we would love to hear from you too!

We are always in need of mentors
