Adult Rowing League

Join the most unique adult sports league in the city!

Open to beginners and experienced rowers. Our team of experienced rowers will teach you everything you need to know. Practice with your team once per week over 5-6 weeks, then test your skills by racing other ARL crews. Race nights are held across 4 nights in July where you and your team will go head to head in a battle for points to see who comes out on top. Need to miss a week? Not a problem, we make our teams large enough to account for this.

Who doesn't love a discount? We are offering 10% off registration fees when a team of 10 or more participants sign up. Get a group of friends, family or coworkers together for your very own Olympic style rowing team!

Meet the New ORC Treasurer: Julian Cupillari

Please welcome the new ORC Treasurer, Julian Cupillari, to the team!

Julian's passion for rowing stems from his time at Upper Canada College, where he captained the lightweight team, won bronze at the Head of the Charles regatta and was one of the two Canadian high school eights to qualify and race at the Henley Royal Regatta.

Julian attended Western University to pursue his HBA at the Ivey School of Business where he rowed for the Junior Varsity team and won OUAs. Julian also attended Queen’s University and received his Masters in Entrepreneurship. Following a hiatus, Julian found his way back to rowing through the ORC’s ARL program in 2021. Today he is a Senior Director of an Ottawa-based financial services company that specializes in intellectual property. Off the water, Julian can be found running with friends or catching a film at ByTowne Cinema. Say "hi!" and welcome Julian into his new role next time you see him around ORC!

Strategic Planning Meeting

How do you see the club in the next 5, 10, 15 years and beyond? The Strategic Planning Committee helps to guide the direction of the club by defining the vision for the future of the club and identifying goals and objectives.

There will be two 1-hour virtual workshops on April 3rd and 10th at 7pm. Through a foresight exercise, the themes that support Club activities will be identified, impacts of long term socio-economic trends will be assessed and solutions will be developed and prioritized over a 10-year horizon. If you are able to think outside the box, we need you!

If you are interested in attending or would like more details, please email Eric Aubin at aubin_ottawa@hotmail.com. Community Involvement points are available for those involved with the Strategic Planning Committee.
