SAVE THE DATE: MONTHLY MEETING JUNE 26
We are excited to have NH Senator Becky Whitley joining us for our June 26 meeting of the Plymouth Area Democrats. Senator Whitley has joined the primary race for the 2nd Congressional District, formerly held by Annie Kuster.
Senator Whitley was first elected to the New Hampshire State Senate in 2020. She’s a member of the bipartisan Housing Caucus and a founding member of the New Hampshire Moms Caucus. Among other legislation, Senator Whitley introduced and helped pass the Childcare for NH Working Families Act, which resulted in a historic investment in childcare in the state, and the NH MOMnibus, which expanded New Hampshire’s Medicaid program to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. She is also a stalwart champion for reproductive freedom in New Hampshire, sponsoring numerous bills to protect abortion, birth control, and access to IVF treatment.
AND PLEASE SAVE ANOTHER DATE: Monday, July 15
We are honored to hold a forum for the three gubernatorial candidates in the Democratic primary. This will be held at 7pm at the Common Man in Plymouth. More information to come.
