Rene Morataya Garcia, 22, of Westchester County, NY is getting ready to take on his first ever Achilles Hope & Possibility® 4M presented by TD Bank! After a car accident left him a C6 quadriplegic in October 2020, the lifelong athlete was unsure of where life would take him. He was able to rediscover hope when he learned that he didn't have to give up his passions, and that there were still athletic opportunities available to him.

"I was always super active before I got injured, so I was nervous I'd have to give up something I really loved because of my disability. Thanks to Achilles, I was able to start handcycling. I was hooked right from the start! I got a piece of myself back that I thought I had lost."
