Auxiliary donates $19,800 for HME vehicle

CMH Auxiliary members

The Citizens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recently donated $19,800 to Citizens Memorial Home Medical Equipment. HME purchased a cargo minivan to deliver and service power mobility equipment.

“We run a lot of service calls for power mobility equipment across a large geographic area. Our current vehicle was at its end-of-life with almost 300,000 miles,” said Jim Russell, HME director. “We appreciate the Auxiliary’s donation that allows us to provide exceptional service.”

Getting ready for construction

Several pre-construction projects are happening now at CMH.

  • Crews are relocating the pedestrian crosswalk on Hwy. 83 to avoid the construction zone.
  • The north parking lot construction is nearing completion. The project increases parking and adds an access to Hwy. 83 and improves traffic flow.
  • The temporary kitchen unit for the north side of the hospital also arrived recently. Note that the last day for the Sunday buffet is April 28 until further notice. The transition to the new kitchen is scheduled for the weekend of May 4-5.
