This Sunday, February 2, we welcome

Rev. Dr. Margaret Kutz (she prefers Pastor Marg)

who will serve as our pastor through June.

Pastor Marg is excited and honored to be part of our ministry. Be sure to wear your name tags to help her learn our names.

GATHERING/REACHING/SERVING

Get ready for a win-win Super Bowl season! We are excited to announce our "Soup"er Bowl Food Drive to benefit the Sherbourne UMC Food Pantry -   a fun and impactful way to give back while celebrating one of the biggest sports events of the year.

How It Works: Just like the Super Bowl brings fans together, this food drive unites our community in a game of generosity. We’re asking everyone to contribute non-perishable food items, with a special emphasis on soups and other easy-to-prepare, hearty meals that will warm the hearts of those in need. Whether it's canned soups, stews, chili, or dry mixes, your donations will help ensure that families and individuals in our community are well-fed.

Game Plan:

  • When: February 2nd  to February 16th, (Super Bowl Sunday is February 9th)
  • Where: Drop-off your donations in the hallway outside the sanctuary
  • Goal: To collect 100 pounds of food to help local food banks and community programs provide nutritious meals to those who need them the most.

Why It Matters: Just like a great play on the field, your contribution will make a real difference. With the cold months ahead, there’s a critical need for warm, comforting meals to help people through the winter. Your generosity will help us serve our neighbors who might be struggling to put food on the table.

So let’s turn this Super Bowl season into a season of giving! Whether you're a fan of football or just a fan of helping others, every donation counts! Let’s make it a "Soup"er Bowl to remember!

Touchdown for kindness. Game on!

To the Ladies of Centenary

Our Centenary/Ginter Park United Women in Faith collaboration continues into 2025 with a few modifications. We have been pleased with the women of GP who have chosen to join us in our United Women in Faith journey. After much prayerful consideration we have decided to change our meeting place. We will be meeting at the Tuckahoe Library on Starling Dr. (off Parham Rd.) on the 3rd Wednesday - Feb. 19 at 1:00 - 3:00. The library provides generous handicapped parking and an elevator to the lower level with meeting rooms with ZOOM capabilities for our homebound folks. We are excited for this new year and do hope you can join us! If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

Mission

Our mission is to change the world through love.

To acknowledge God’s love is, for each of us, a life-changing event.

As followers of Jesus, we share God’s love for all people, and work together to make our world a better place, one life at a time.
