Albertans with intellectual disabilities experience an unemployment rate of more than 70%. The Rotary Employment Partnership is creating life-changing job opportunities while providing an untapped labour market to Alberta’s business community.
The partnership has created over 800 jobs to date in areas such as food service, administration, labour and everything in between

The Sand Zone is an inclusive employer through the Rotary Employment Partnership. The Sand Zone is a fun place to take your kids for some fun in the sand, some beach volleyball, or a great place to have a party.
Kaylee was hired by the Sand Zone in July 2023 to assist with youth summer programs. Kaylee planned activities for the youth and assisted the program coordinator to ensure the youth had fun in a high-quality program. As summer ended, Kaylee moved into a receptionist position, answering phones, handling drop-in fees, welcoming people into The Sand Zone and other administrative duties as required. The Sand Zone has gained a skilled, reliable, and friendly team member.
