New Study by Center Faculty Drs. Eva Feldman, Stephen Goutman, and Stuart Batterman Investigate ALS Risks Associated with Chemical Storage in Home Garages | |
|
Center members Feldman, M.D., Ph.D., Goutman, M.D., and Batterman, Ph.D.—alongside other U-M investigators—explored the dangers of storing chemicals, such as gasoline, pesticides, paint, and woodworking supplies, in your home garage.
They found that these chemicals stored in garages may lead to an increased ALS risk, especially those stored in attached garages in cold climates where air can be drawn through the garage and directly into the home.
Discover more about this exciting new work by center members in Noah Fromson's latest piece for Michigan Medicine's Healthlab.
