Rabbi David Novak will present a recorded talk for The Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life on Saturday January 30, 2021. The conference will be held virtually from Georgetown University in Washington DC. The Rabbi's talk will be available during the week before the Conference and on Saturday, also.
Rabbi Novak is Vice President on our board of directors and an alumnus of Georgetown University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy.
The Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life strives to promote intellectually rigorous discourse on the sanctity of human life as well as build a culture of life both within and beyond the Georgetown community. Georgetown students founded the Conference in 2000 and remain both the organizers and facilitators of what has become the largest student-run, pro-life Conference in the United States.
As a sponsor of the Conference, we'll be virtually tabling in our zoom room between 12:30 pm and 1:15 pm. We'll let you know the meeting ID when it is assigned to us.
From the Conference website: This year's theme is "Global Pro-Life Approaches in the 21st Century." With the rise of gene editing, population control efforts, and eugenics, it is evident now more than ever that we must protect the sanctity of life from the moment of conception until natural death. In this panel, we will evaluate how the Consistent Life Ethic is expanding in the 21st century. In this panel, we will examine how to build a pro-life movement that stays at the forefront of technological, ideological, and political innovation. The panel will be moderated by Catherine Hadro from EWTN and will feature contributions from Reggie Littlejohn, Dr. Alevida King, Sr. Dede Byrne, and Valerie Huber.
The keynote speaker is Gianna Jessen, an abortion survivor.
