Welcome Adella Barrett

Please join the Staff Parish Relations Team in welcoming Adella Barrett to Centenary’s staff as the Coordinator of Ministry to Seniors. 

Adella is a native of Lynchburg, Virginia and has been happy to call Richmond home for the last nine years. After earning her undergraduate degree in Cultural and Interreligious Studies, she earned a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary and has worked in a range of contexts from early childhood education, to small scale farming, to end of life ministry, most recently working as a hospice chaplain. Adella’s love for the Church is steeped in an appreciation of tradition and ecumenism, and she holds a special interest in exploring the future of the Church with a reverence for the past and an openness to the Spirit’s movement toward change. Some of her great loves include hiking through the great outdoors, exploring global cultures through travel, music and food, and being an Aunt to three beautiful little ones.
