April Design Newsletter, 2024

Your mornings just got better now that our favorite volunteer Design project, Sleepy Coffee Too is having its Grand Opening!

Curious to see what we have been up to planning and designing for the past two years? We call it a Chic Industrial Style and can't wait for you to experience for yourself.

But what really makes this place special is its employees. Special needs adults that are working and contributing to the community in an inclusive cafe workplace. It is the entire reason why Sleepy Coffee Too was created.

Please enjoy some fresh coffee at their new location soon, and follow them on instagram @sleepycoffeetoo.

It will become one of your favorite hang outs!

How We Are Helping Our Clients

~3 project Highlights~

GREENWOOD LAKE NY RENOVATION

Lots of amazing progress since our last newsletter update on this whole house vacation home renovation.

Custom kitchen cabinetry was just installed and it was so exciting to visit the facility and see them being hand made! (Did you catch it on our Instagram and Facebook posts?) All of our new bathroom tile looks amazing and the new windows bring in so much more natural light. We have the stone countertops at the fabricator as well as glass door enclosures for the bathrooms in the works. Much of the furniture ordered in Nov-Dec has been delivered to our white glove receiver waiting to go to its new home. We are counting down the weeks when the family can enjoy their newly updated Lakehouse in the warm weather!

PRE-WAR BUILDINGS IN TARRYTOWN

Two twin buildings required an update in the entries and hallways for the 60 apartment dwellers that own there. They needed a refresh to welcome guest and family when they entered the buildings, and provide a comfortable entry and exit into their own hallways.

We had some fun getting feedback on social media on the 2 favorite mood boards that we created with wallpaper and LVT (luxury vinyl tile) flooring, paint and lighting to be presented to the Board.

Which one is YOUR favorite? (email us you answer!)

SCARSDALE BASEMENT RENOVATION

Nobody likes mold, especially when it is found in your home. Removing mold was the catalyst for a full renovation of our clients basement and its adjoining bathroom and closets. Everything had to be removed and the space professionally cleaned for health and safety.

We took this as an opportunity to Design a functional space for exercising and yoga. Their own personal SPA! Now there is lots of space for work out equipment and a spa bathroom complete with a towel warmer.

Project is close to completion.
