Welcome to Pilgrim Church of Duxbury
An Open & Affirming Congregation

FROM RB’S DESK

Signs of Spring have begun in earnest! The forsythia bushes are bright yellow, some have mulched and trimmed their gardens and lawns. The “peepers” are here, singing at dusk each night and its light jacket weather most of the time!

Spring is a busy time in the life of the church as well! We have events the reflect that change and I encourage you all to come and join us! We have Shake It Up Sunday with special music and DEAL A MEAL AND MORE AUCTION after worship this week this week, and in May we have Mission Awareness Sunday, Mother’s Day, Confirmation and Memorial Day services. All reflect Pilgrims Church’s investment in quality worship and community involvement. You will also see volunteer opportunities to help with the Yard Sale, building a Float for the July Fourth Parade, and helping with Sabbatical planning. We have two Bible studies beginning and a Music program that is offering wonderful events in May and June that can use your help!

All this before Summer arrives!

I hope you’ll join us in some capacity. The challenge of church life is trying to be all things to all people, but my philosophy is to try to involve as many of you in specific ministries and events that fit those things that build your faith! You will see, over the summer and fall, a great call in understanding a new concept in church involvement with your gifts and “call”: to serve. Watch for announcements!

God is always doing some new thing, in our hearts, in the world, in our church. Like seeds waiting for spring to come, the Spirit works in us! How can Pilgrim Church help YOU grow as a disciple of Jesus this spring? Let’s get together and get to know one another. It’s time to reconnect with God and with one another. It’s time for the snow to melt. It’s time to grow—grow in connection, grow in community, grow as disciples, grow in service, grow in numbers.

I’m so grateful to be your pastor, and I’m excited to see what God will do!

Pilgrim Pantry's Current Needs

April is here and it is time for spring cleaning. Let's help our pantry friends by donating Windex, disinfectant cleaners, paper towels and sponges. Our next pantry day is this Saturday, April 27th. Thank you for your continued support!

Mother’s Day Sing with your child

Mother’s Day is Sunday May 12th. We would like to offer the opportunity for Mothers to sing with their children. All mothers are welcome to join in, even if your child is not present, or is grown, or living across the country.

The song is simple, but evocative, and easy to learn. Please join us after service this Sunday, April 21st to learn this song. After 15 minutes of Fellowship time, please come to the choir room (with your children if they would like to sing) for a short, 20 minute rehearsal. Thank you!
