TuffCut® XT9 380/380CB

The TuffCut^® XT9 380/380CB 9 flute end mill series offers extreme performance on difficult to machine materials. Coated with our ALtima^® Xtreme coating, it delivers exceptional performance for demanding applications. The 380/380CB is designed for high-speed machining of Titanium, Inconel, Stainless Steel, and similar materials. Heat generated during machining could result in the reduction of strength/hardness of the workpiece material. With the added protection of the AX coating, its max service temperature is 2012°F/1100°C. An uneven 9 flute design contributes to the high performance tooling by reducing harmonics to provide stable machining zones for precision machining. There is an added cost savings due to the life of the tool. 

The 380CB has an added chipbreaker to allow for a longer tool life by managing chip control and reducing cutting forces. The staggered chipbreaker technology helps reduce cutting forces and allows for excellent chip management.
