In the wake of the devastation caused by recent wildfires in LA County, Genesis LA remains steadfast in our commitment to financing transformative community development projects.

We are inspired by the community-led relief efforts and we continue to assess how Genesis LA and other CDFIs will support long-term rebuilding efforts.

GLA Provides $6.8 Million In NMTC Financing To Food Access LA

Genesis LA's $6.8 million NMTC loan is providing capital for Food Access LA, to expand their farmer's market operations.

Food Access LA operated 8 farmer's markets throughout the LA area, in addition to grant-funded food-related programs for low-income individuals.

First Loan Made Under GLA's Block by Block Program

We provided a $1.06 million acquisition and predevelopment loan to Community Coalition, which is purchasing a commercial property to rehabilitate into a small business hub, in partnership with Primestor.

LA County Commercial Acquisition Fund Is Financing 7 Economic Development Projects

In 2024, Genesis LA provided intermediary services to LA County and administered the $10,000,000 Commercial Acquisition Fund.

7 organizations were awarded a forgivable loan to help finance the acquisition of a commercial property, which will be repurposed to host local small businesses and vendors.
