There are a lot of moving parts at PAD right now. . .

  • Candidate filing is in full mode now, yet we still have a few seats with no Democratic candidate.
  • Our original speaker for this month's meeting, Senator Becky Whitley, just dropped out of the Congressional race, but we've developed a great new program. (See below.)
  • We are actively looking for a Democratic Headquarters for Plymouth, but we are finding nothing appropriate downtown. Do you have a space that could be used? We need about 700-1000 square feet. We hope to open the office by the middle or end of July.

Meanwhile, I am feeling encouraged about the prospects of the Democrats in the upcoming general election. I get hope daily by reading the blogs of Heather Cox Richardson and Robert Hubbell, who send me historical and analytical updates via my email inbox. If you don't read them already, give it a try.

I am also encouraged about our town committees. We have a couple of new groups who are showing great energy and enthusiasm for building a strong presence in their towns. If your town committee is planning an event and would like it to be publicized in this by-monthly newsletter, please let me know. We are happy to help you spread the word.

If you can't make it in person, you can stream it live at https://www.youtube.com/@PlymouthAreaDems

POT LUCK ASSIGNMENTS

Thank you for all the yummy dishes last month. For this month, we have switched the assignments.

We are reinstating drinks (either wine or non-alcoholic) on the list. We will continue to make a pot of coffee and supply cream.

Thank you!

WANT TO HELP US WIN THE ELECTIONS IN 2024?

We love recurring donations. . . DONATE TODAY to Plymouth Area Democrats' Act Blue account. Or send a check to the post office address below. We will need to rent an office next year, and with rents going ever higher, it will be an extensive expense. In addition, we will be helping each of our candidates with campaign expenses. Thank you for your generosity.
