Tanya and Kiran discussed Breathe California’s asthma remediation and education program's success in aiding individuals with asthma, enhancing their quality of life by helping them avoid triggers and achieve better outcomes.

Did You Know That Children Can Get Long COVID?
5.8 million children are estimated to suffer from long COVID which includes symptoms such as dizziness, increased heart rate, or feeling tired and developing new conditions, such as diabetes or chronic fatigue syndrome. The CDC recommends that children 6 months and older – and all adults – get vaccinated/boosted as soon as possible with the NEW 2023-2024 COVID-19 Vaccine to protect against serious illness.
The Air District's New Monitoring Plan
If you rely on Air Quality Index (AQI) forecasts when planning your outdoor activities, you should know that Bay Area Air Quality Management District maintains one of the most comprehensive air quality monitoring networks in the country, with over 30 stations in the nine Bay Area counties that measure concentrations of pollutants based on air quality standards have been set by the U.S. EPA, the California Air Resources Board, and the state of California. The Air District recently released a new 2024 Plan to make monitoring even more efficient. Public comment is open on the report until June 20th.
