Scholarly Engagement & The Parental Connection

Holding your scholars accountable from home for their time at school can be a challenge. Here are some strategies to manage student engagement.

1. Discuss key points. Have regular discussions with your scholar about their day and the material that they are learning.
2. Connect learning to practical life skills. Bridging applications for daily interactions and concepts learned can help scholarly involvement and critical thinking.
3. Communication. Regular communication with your scholar’s instructors is among the best ways to know how your scholar is engaging in their school day.

Headmaster Schutten invites all Trivium Prep parents to join him for our upcoming Community Knights. Parents will gather as a community to make connections with other parents and discuss important topics with the Headmaster. Please plan to join us!

Middle School Parents - February 12

The health office is in need of donations: Clorox wipes, water bottles and Kleenex. We are fully stocked on snacks now, thank you so much for the support! Don't forget to label donations for the Trivium Prep health office. We really appreciate your support during this Flu season.

As a reminder, scholars should stay home if they have any of the following:  

1. They have a fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit within the past 24 hours. (Must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications)
2. They have had episodes of vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
3. They are ill and unable to participate in class.

Tryouts for Middle School and High School Spring Sports are next week! You must be fully registered in order to try out.

In the top right corner click on the button "Athletic Registration." It will take you to our registration site, Big Teams. Please follow the instructions to register your scholar. They will need to have an AIA physical form filled out by a doctor and signed uploaded to your registration. The AIA 2024-2025 Physical Form can be found on that site. 

Please check the website to find practice times/locations starting the week of February 10.

Middle School Tryouts:

• Boys MS Basketball Try-Outs are M-W(2/10-12) 3:30-5pm
• Girls MS Basketball Try-Outs are M-W( 2/10-12) 5-6:30pm
• Spirit Line Clinic is Monday and Tuesday(2/10-11) 3:30-5:30pm and Auditions is Thursday(2/13) 3:30-5:30pm
• MS Swim & Dive - TBD

High School Tryouts:

• HS Baseball is M-F at Agua Fria at 4pm

Our 7th Grade House Breakfast will be Friday, February 14 at 7 AM.

Our 10th Grade House Breakfast will be Friday, February 28 at 7 AM.

Register Now for the 6th Grade Field Trip

Our 6th Grade Class will visit the Desert Outdoor Center on either April 2 or April 9, 2025.

• On Wednesday, April 2, Mr. Agboola's students will attend the field trip. 
• On Wednesday, April 9, Ms. Perkins' students will attend the field trip.

On the day your student is not attending the field trip, school will proceed as usual.

Re-enrollment for 6th-11th Grade Families Opens March 3

Re-Enrollment will open Monday, March 3 for current 6th-11th grade families. It is done entirely online by using a computer/laptop and Chrome as your web browser. You will log into your Parent Portal to complete Re-Enrollment. You will also need to upload an updated AZ Proof of Residency that matches the address of the parent e-signing (if using a bill, it must be current). Look for an email on Monday, March 3 with full details.

Trivium Prep Yearbook Sales have Closed

Trivium Prep 6th-12th grade yearbook sales have ended. If you did not order a yearbook, and would like to be placed on the wait list, please email triviumyearbooks@gmail.com with the name and grade of your student. You will get an auto response with more information and will automatically be placed on a waitlist in the order of when your email was received.

High School Class Observations

Current Trivium Prep 8th grade and New 25/26 Trivium Prep High School parents & students are invited to observe some our High School classes. Come seminar in a Humane Letters course, see the beauty in Mathematics, understand the differences between Middle School vs High School at Trivium Prep, and more!

Middle School/High School Spring Sports Tryouts will begin the week of February 10. Registration (including submitting a current sports physical) must be complete before your student can tryout.

Important Note: You will need to update your profile with the student's grade for the current school year in the "My Profiles" section before ordering.

Volunteer in the Lunch Room

Sign up as a volunteer to help distribute lunches and receive free lunch from My Hot Lunchbox! (Volunteer clearance is required to volunteer). We will be awarding a $5 a day/per person credit to each school. All credits will be applied at the end of each month. Please email our lunch coordinator at psolunch@archwaytrivium.org if you have any questions regarding the credits. Thank you for helping to make the lunch program a success at our school!

Used Uniform Donations

Did you know there is a bin for uniform donations in the Trivium front office?

If you have used school uniforms that you no longer need, you are welcome to drop off items here anytime throughout the school year. They will used to support the PSO Uniform Exchange, the school health office and other needs. If you would like to receive a donation voucher for Dennis/Anton items, please hold onto your items and watch the Friday Flash for PSO Uniform Collection dates to be announced throughout the year. School Messenger Communication

Great Hearts and Trivium Prep continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
