ECEPTS National Conference

This homegrown National Conference, held in Sacramento on May 6-9, was filled with professionals from all over. WDBCCC Workforce Specialist Serena Moore and WDBCCC Youth Program Manager Noramah Burch met people from Virginia, Louisiana, Oregon, and some locals from Stockton and Sacramento.

The conference featured focused lectures and open conversations, including powerful testimonies from four young women who went through the YMCA Apprenticeship program. They overcame homelessness, language barriers, unemployment, and lack of childcare access to earn bachelor’s degrees in early care and education.

The Early Care & Education Pathways to Success (ECEPTS) apprenticeship model has been well laid out and is highly recommended for anyone looking to start an ECE apprenticeship. Reach out to the ECEPTS experts to learn more!
