A note about the Dupont Circle Farmers Market. Earlier in the week, Dupont Main Streets reported that market will be open this Sunday from 8:30-1:30 and it has developed a new system for operations:
- To better maintain social distancing, the market will have a single entry point, located at the intersection of Q Street and 20th Street, NW. All other entries to the market will be blocked off. Customers will be asked to line up on the west side of Q Street, farmers will spread out more, and staff will manage the number of shoppers in the market to prevent overcrowding. To better manage attendance, households should have no more than two people in their group. Please aim to shop and depart in under 30 minutes to make space for other customers.
- Composting will take place at 20th and Mass. as usual and can be dropped off before getting in line to enter the market.
- SNAP shoppers can enter the market at 20th and Q Streets, so you can redeem your SNAP benefits at the market information tent. Please show your SNAP card to the market manager and they will admit you to the market.
Please continue to check the Farmer Market
website
to see how the market may be impacted by the Mayor's new order.
