Today, Calling All Crows, a nonprofit organization that connects and mobilizes music fans to join feminist movements for justice and equality, announces the official launch of AMPlifying Democracy with an evening kick off event on June 5 at the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville, MA including live performances by Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch and CMT Next Women of Country artist Julie Williams. Tickets are on sale now here. Plus, Calling All Crows appoints Courtney Cavaiola as Director of AMPlifying Democracy. Calling All Crows will be present at Kilby Court Block Party in Salt Lake City, UT next month to provide resources and encourage voter registration with Ballot Ready.

AMPlifying Democracy is dedicated to mobilizing music fans and artists to engage in democracy. Calling All Crows believes protecting reproductive freedom is a fundamental aspect of democracy, and threats to reproductive rights undermine equality and justice for all. By advocating for policies that safeguard reproductive freedom, the organization affirms the dignity and rights of every American. On June 5 at Somerville's Crystal Ballroom, Calling All Crows will host an evening filled with empowering live music by Chadwick Stokes and Julie Williams, meaningful advocacy and community building. Guests will be able to explore interactive displays highlighting the importance of advocacy and making your voice heard. There is also a VIP option where guests enjoy exclusive access to private lounges and viewing areas, mingle with artists, activists, and fellow supporters in an intimate setting. Executive Director of Calling All Crows Heatherjean MacNeil is pleased to dive into this meaningful work, adding, "The campaign was built in response to the erosion of democracy and the imminent threats to reproductive freedom. Calling All Crows sees this as an important cultural and political moment to partner with artists to leverage the power of music to celebrate and defend democracy and reproductive freedom. Through partnerships with artists and engagement with their fans, we endeavor to safeguard these fundamental rights for all.

To encourage voter turnout and AMPlifying Democracy's efforts, Dispatch will embark on a short tour in battleground states in October. Dispatch hopes to leverage the power of music to inspire, activate, and boost civic engagement during this election year. Fans will be able to participate in activities that promote a thriving and equitable democracy both nationally and locally. Dispatch frontman Chadwick Stokes is looking forward to getting audiences and peers involved in a worthy cause. Stokes adds, "We face some really critical months ahead. Our democracy and our rights are contingent on the people rising up and voicing what is important to them. Calling All Crows help makes this happen. Reproductive rights is a major issue in our country and a driving factor in the '1972' rock opera. To have Calling All Crows along side us is much appreciated."

The Here For The Music program, which fights against sexual violence and aims to build safety at shows and festivals across the country, continues to be present at select shows of Mitski's U.S. tour to provide information and resources. The program has been supported by boygenius, Clairo, Goose, The 1975, Courtney Barnett and more. This month, the program honors Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a partnership with leading music industry mental health nonprofit organization Backline, including an Instagram Live conversation on April 24 at 12pm CT. Plus, Calling All Crows has joined forces with The Change Agent·cy (TCA) to present Julie Williams' Green Room Tour, a short tour of college campuses that includes a live performance and a series of speaking engagements and performances designed to raise awareness around sexual harassment in the music industry.

Calling All Crows is thrilled to announce Courtney Cavaiola has joined the team as Director of AMPlifying Democracy. Cavaiola shares, "This work with Calling All Crows and AMPlifying Democracy lights me up. It brings me joy to raise up the voices of young people. Having the opportunity to organize people around music is very special and I'm so excited for the opportunity to be a part of this movement."

Last month, Calling All Crows launched three initiatives in honor of Women's History Month, including a livestream with Resilient Sisterhood Project (RSP), their 16th Annual Benefit Weekend with a sold out performance by Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch and The Pintos in Somerville, and an in-person event at The Sinclair in Boston, MA in celebration of their announcement of a new service project with Reproductive Equity Now.

Join Calling All Crows in the effort to engage in democracy and imagine a brighter future. An empowering evening filled with live music and community to launch AMPlifying Democracy with Chadwick Stokes and Julie Williams will take place on June 5 in Somerville, MA. Get tickets now here. Through their work, Calling All Crows visualizes a world where all people’s full humanity is realized, and local and global communities are equitable, just, and thriving.
