Quarterly Update - April 2024

Kicking off 2024

2024 is off to a great start between fundraising efforts by all, families accessing our funds, and our 2024 events underway. Thank you to all of our 2024 Corporate Sponsors, we have secured $57,000 from our generous local businesses!

Our team riders are hard at work both with fundraising and training for the Iron Horse. Check out these two groups enjoying the beautiful weather while out on a training ride.

2023 Donation Total = $210,996.21

2022 Donation Total = $223,749.10

OUR MISSION IN ACTION

January to March 2024:

78 families served in 2024 already - that's nearly as many families as we served in 2022 alone, and we are on track to double the number of families served in 2023!
Thank you for helping us continue to get the word out and share our mission with others so that we can continue to help more and more families!!

Did you know...

In 2022, 94 families benefited from the Durango Derailers Patient Assistance Fund. That's over 7 families every month!
In 2023, 159 families benefited from the DDPAF. That's over 13 families every month, or 3 families every week!

Dear Durango Derailers,

I wanted to take the time to give you a profound thank you for your generous support. The donation you gave to my family allowed my son to participate in a two week feeding program with a lot more ease. The gas cards and lodging help was much appreciated.

My son’s feeding journey has been ever-challenging, but knowing I have Durango community support and care is heart-warming.

REACHING MORE FAMILIES

We have revamped our intake process in order to make it easier and less time-consuming for families to access our funds. It is all electronic now there is and no need to print and email or fax. We are excited for this update and hope we can reach more families through it.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT

We want to take the time to highlight our Diamond Club Donor Alpine Bank. This is the ELEVENTH year Alpine Bank has partnered with us and our mission to help our local families. Community is one of Alpine Bank's core values, and it has been evident in the support and community partnership they have shown us over the past decade. Iron Horse Bicycle Classic

May 24-26, 2024
Currently 65 riders on our Climb For Kids team will conquer mountains for kids over the weekend!

Courage Classic

July 20-21, 2023
An incredible two day hosted ride through Summit County. Funds raised will benefit the mental health needs of our local kids as we partner with Psyched to Climb.
