Kids, get ready to countdown to 2024!!! Celebrate New Year’s Eve with dancing, party games, crafts, and ice cream. There will be a “Countdown to 2024” balloon drop at noon to celebrate the New Year!

Fairy Tale Ball

Friday, February 2nd or Saturday, February 3rd | 6 - 8 pm | Founders Community Center Gym - 140 Oak St.

$15/NR $20 per person

We cordially invite you to join us for an enchanting evening at our Fairy Tale Ball. Dads, come and dance the night away with your little one, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. We will be providing light refreshments for your enjoyment, accompanied by the delightful entertainment of a live DJ. To capture the beauty of your evening together, a professional photographer will be available to take formal pictures for an additional fee. We kindly request that you register early, as this event tends to reach full capacity rapidly. Please note that pre-registration is required, and no tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Community Wishing Tree

The concept of wishing trees emerged around the world because trees are a universal symbol of hope, life, and resilience. They are found in many different cultures with varying rituals, but what they have in common is a place where people reconnect with what truly matters to them. Visit our Community Wishing Trees in the Library's West End this holiday season. Write your wish on one of the provided paper stars, then hang it on one of the trees.

Adult Winter Reading: Get Lost in a Good Book

From Jan. 1st to Feb. 3rd 

Get lost in a good book and explore something new this winter! We are playing a game of BINGO using our Beanstack reading software. Read books or attend programs to unlock badges on the BINGO board. Three (3) badges in a row (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) wins! Patrons who get BINGO will get a a choice of prize, a free cake slice from Portillo's, and a raffle ticket.

Day of Service: Make Cheerful Cards for Seniors

Monday, January 15th | 9 AM - 3 pm

Observed on the third Monday of January each year, Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrates his January 15th birthday. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lived his life serving others. Drop-in between 9am-3pm to make cheerful cards for our homebound patrons and residents at local senior living centers.

Fire & Ice Winter Social

Saturday, February 3rd | 12 - 3 PM | Breidert Green 

The Fire & Ice Winter Social will feature a live ice carving demo and family-friendly ice games! We will bring the heat with a toasty bonfire, smores, hot chocolate, and chili! Taste and vote for your favorite chili prepared by Lincoln-Way Area restaurants. Prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in each category. Chili tasting will begin promptly at noon and end at 2:30 PM or when chili runs out, whichever comes first.

Kiwanis Games - Seeking Sponsors!

Kiwanis Club of Frankfort will be hosting the Kiwanis Games, focused on events for the intellectually challenged, ages 18-55. The event will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 from 9-12:30 PM at the Lincolnway Special Recreation Center.
