Managing Money in Your Business: Financial Essentials

This is a promotional flyer for the SBIR/STTR Accelerator program hosted by CTSBDC. HARTFORD INNOVATION LAB!

This is a flyer for the grand opening of hartfords innovation lab. Explore new technologies and master skills at the Innovate Lab – open to all students, regardless of experience! The event will take place on February 10th from 12 PM- 4PM in the GLBC on the 1st floor.

We are an educational research lab/makerspace providing students of all disciplines with opportunities and resources to learn, explore, and develop industry-valued skills outside the classroom around emerging technology and analytics.


The Innovate Lab is your space to explore, learn, and create. Whether you’re completely new to technology or already have experience, Innovate Lab is open to all students, regardless of your major or skill level. It’s the perfect place to try something new, master a skill, or collaborate with others.

The Forage

The Forage is an open-access platform that connects students with company-endorsed job simulations. These self-guided simulations can be completed from any device and, upon completion, students receive a certificate to showcase on their resume and LinkedIn.

Data Analytics


This self-paced 4-5 hour simulation offers a realistic experience of a data analyst at Quantium. Participants will learn practical skills including data validation, visualization, and statistical testing through hands-on modules. Careers in Tourism


This self-paced 2-3 hour simulation offers a glimpse into event operations careers within the tourism industry. Participants will learn essential skills, from attendee communication to run sheet development, crucial for success in such roles. The program includes model answers to enhance the learning experience.

Workshop: Internship Authorization (CPT & Pre-OPT)


This session is for F-1 students who will do an internship or work off-campus before graduating, or for students who have internships and clinical placements as part of your academic curriculum. All internships, work and placements off-campus must be authorized through Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Pre-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT), even if unpaid and required for your class or program. If you are considering a future off-campus work opportunity or placement, you are required to attend this workshop before you apply for CPT or Pre-Completion OPT with ISSS.
