UNTAPPED TALENT INCLUSIVE HIRING WORKSHOP | |
Small Businesses to Huge Corporations can Benefit!
This hands-on workshop is for helping business owners, managers, human resource professionals, and more, learn about strategies and resources available to fill your organization’s open or high turnover positions!
The "Untapped Talent Workshop” will teach attendees methods to tap into the underutilized, overlooked, and underserved workforce and community groups such as veterans, seniors, previously incarcerated, youth, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Local resources and organizations will have representatives set up with information on their services that can help you find the talent you need for your business.
Lindsay Wrege, keynote speaker, is the founder of 321 Coffee, a non-profit that currently employs over 50 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Wrege founded 321 Coffee in 2017 with a vision to build a company founded on inclusion. Wrege will lead this half-day workshop as she explores every step of filling a position, including the job application, and hiring process, and helping you create a custom blueprint to fill all your open positions!

CITY TO HOST LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT CERTIFICATION TRAINING | |
The Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism, in partnership with GENEDGE, will host the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Training (LSSBB) for industrial and commercial professionals in the city of Danville and jointly owned industrial parks in Danville and Pittsylvania County, beginning March 17, 2025.
LSSBB Training equips professionals with the advanced tools, techniques, and leadership skills needed to lead impactful projects that reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and improve quality across operations.
Each participant will undergo in-depth training over the course of 4 months, with each training spanning one week per month, Monday-Friday. Each class will include both lecture and simulation-based exercises to fully engage participants. Classes will be held at The Institute for Advanced Learning & Research, 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville.
Participation is limited. The deadline to register is February 28, 2025
