SPECIAL GUEST THIS SUNDAY
Lita Sample will be joining us for Sunday School and Worship this Sunday!
Lita and her husband, Rick, are Cooperative Baptist Fellowship field personnel (missionaries) serving with the international and refugee community in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, being the presence of Christ through relationship building, church starting, evangelism, and outreach.
The San Francisco Bay Area is a diverse region where more than 100 languages are spoken and diversity is displayed throughout the area. In the East Bay, where the Lita and Rick primarily focus their work, there are ample opportunities to interact with internationals in the public marketplace, on the street, and in their own neighborhood.
Lita and Rick seek to minister holistically to the international community, including immigrants and refugees from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, India and Turkey. Many predominantly Muslim ethnic groups live in the Samples’ immediate community as well as a large number of Sikh, Buddhist and Hindu people.
Lita will be sharing about her work during the Sunday school hour in Fellowship Hall and all are welcome! Come hear stories of her work, ask questions, and learn more about what she is doing. She will also be sharing in our worship service.
Part of our missions budget goes to support CBF Field Personnel such as Lita and Rick Sample. I am grateful that we have the opportunity to hear directly from her about the work that we, and many other churches, are supporting. I hope you'll plan to attend the time with her during Sunday school (9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall) and in worship.
Blessings,
Aimee

Sharon joined our church on March 17. She was baptized in a Baptist church as a young child in upstate New York, where she was raised along with her 5 siblings. She and her husband, Mort, married in 1961 and had three children: Steve, Christine, and Donna.
When her children were young, she kept other children in her home. Once they went to school, she worked as a bookkeeper at a car dealership. After retiring, Sharon and Mort moved to central Florida, where they lived until 2022. Now they reside with their daughter Donna and her family.
Sharon loves to garden, bake (and cook when she doesn’t have to!), play games on her tablet, take care of her dog (Charlie), and shop! A favorite verse is Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.”

CONSTITUTION AND BYLAW DISCUSSION
This Sunday immediately following worship, we'll gather for lunch in the Fellowship Hall before discussing the proposed revisions to our Constitution and Bylaws.
The proposed changes have been approved by the Administrative Leadership Council, Deacons, and Long-Range Planning team.
We hope you'll make plans to attend the lunch and discussion. We will vote on the new document in a church conference on Sunday, April 28 after worship.
The full document is attached below for your review:

SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY LUNCH
On April 10, the Senior Adult Ministry gathered to enjoy a pot luck meal and discussion on future plans.
How does the Bible say God’s call will come to us? Whom does God pick to call? What kinds of things does God call us to do? Through exploring Biblical stories of call, we'll seek to answer these questions - and more!

Thank you so much for all the prayers, calls, cards, visits, food, and even cutting our grass during Calvin's hospital stay and recovery.
We have truly felt blessed by our church family. An act of kindness never goes unnoticed.
We sincerely thank you and may God bless you all.
In God's love,
Calvin and Martha McGinnis
