- Identify Alternative Locations and Options within County Commission District 8 for the Acquisition, Construction, Redevelopment, and/or Rehabilitation of Real Property for Homeless Housing.
- Prepare a Written Report within 60 Days.

Miami-Dade County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees in December for pets over four months old, requiring only a $30 license fee for dogs. All adoptions cover essential care such as vaccines, microchip, deworming, and spay/neuter surgery. Visit the Pet Adoption & Protection Center or satellite adoption centers on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Puppy adoption is $85, and kittens are $35. Give a shelter pet a second chance!

District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins presents South Dade Winter Spectacular. A special outdoor screening of Disney's a Christmas Carol on December 21st, 5-9 pm at Deering Estate (16701 SW 72 Avenue. Miami, FL, 33157). Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and your best holiday pajamas! There will be food, games, and many activities. This is a free and open to the public event. We hope to see you there!
