Last Month's Results

Junior Learn-To-Shoot

We had a great group of Juniors (both boys and girls) ranging from 12-17 years old. Many of the youth had never shot a gun before. Each Junior shot about 25 rounds and then enjoyed a BBQ hot dog lunch. The Juniors used a variety of shotguns from 410's, 28 gauge and 12 gauge.

Our thanks goes out to Don Terrio who did the safety talk and helped organize the shooting squads. We could not have done the Junior Learn to Shoot without our awesome instructors who volunteered their time!!

Meet Charlotte

Hi my name is Charlotte. I moved to Carstairs in the fall with my husband Grady. One of the things that drew me to Silver Willow is my love for shooting rifles. It has been a fun challenge to learn more about shotguns. One of my long term goals is to own a farm with lots of sheep, chickens, and cattle alongside my husband Grady. I love being outside, working with animals, and meeting new people. These are some of the things I like about silver willow. It is so great to meet and visit with people everyday.

Meet Jen

Hi there, I’m Jen and I’m new here at Silver Willow. I live nearby in Rocky View County and just had to come to work here after hearing

lots of good things about the place and people. I came to love Carstairs years ago when I worked here as a barber and am happy to be working back in the area. One of my short-term goals is to turn some of the art I create into a line of t-shirts, prints and other items. A longer-term goal of mine would be to polish my musical skills and play some gigs. I’ve really enjoyed the people and my time here at Silver Willow so far, I look forward to a hot summer and an exciting shooting season!

Thursdays we will remain open till 8:00pm, however we will no longer be open late on Wednesdays. Please note the change to our hours of operation.

Course closed on June 20th & 21st

Course will also be closed for June 20th for the Children's Cottage shoot and fundraiser! This is a big event which we just love doing every year. Our courses will be closed for June 21st as well for another big event for the Calgary Bar Association.

Thanks for understanding and we will see you out here for a different day!

Private and semi-private lessons are available at a per hour rate. Gun rental, ammo and clays are extra.

A minimum of 1.5 hours per lesson is recommended. Check out our website under Learn, and Instruction for all the details.

Non-Restricted - Course time 8:00 am till 4:00 pm (at minimum),

Individual testing 4:00 - 7:00pm (approximately)

Restricted - Course time 8:00 am till 12:00 pm (at minimum),

Individual testing 12:00 - 2:30pm (approximately)

Non-Restricted - $200.00, Restricted - $150.00, or register for both courses at $300.00. All prices include GST. Coffee, tea and water are provided.
