The time is fast approaching for our very first TMAP Cohort in the Central Valley! The applications will close on April 6th, so be sure to apply today to be a part of CITE's growing professional community. Keynote Speakers

We are exCITEd to announce our keynote speakers are Shawn Achor and Sam Rad! We look forward to hearing from both speakers and can't wait to see what else #CITE2024 has in store!

Meet our opening keynote speaker, Sam Rad - a futurist, anthropologist, and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Radical Next, shaping a positive future through transformative stories and experiences detailed in her upcoming book, "Radical Next: Thriving in Times of Radical Change." Her book explores how "radical next ideas" and technologies will transform societies in the decades to come. 

Meet our main keynote speaker, Shawn Achor - a NYTimes bestselling author of The Happiness Advantage and Big Potential. After graduating from Harvard, Shawn traveled to 50 countries studying how to create an interconnected approach to potential and happiness. His TED talk is one of the most popular of all time with over 20 million views, and his lecture airing on PBS has been seen by millions.

March Featured Member

Jenilee Peñaflor


Jenilee Peñaflor brings a wide range of experience to K-12, from being a radio & television producer to an emergency medical technician (EMT). She decided to build a career that allowed her to use her expertise and energy in the service of students through technology. She has worked in California public schools for a decade at the district and COE levels, making technology accessible and enjoyable for those she serves.

With a passion for social justice, Jenilee is active with several committees geared towards closing equity gaps for students, staff, and the community. Jenilee is committed to fostering interest in technology for girls and empowering women as leaders in the field.

Jenilee holds a B.A. in Mass Communication, an M.A. in Organizational Leadership, and is a CITE Certified Chief Technology Officer. She recently accepted the role as Director of Technology at Newark Unified School District and looks forward to working with her new team beginning April.
