Graduate Program Hooding Ceremony

May 1 | 2 pm | Auditorium (Macon) 

Join us as we honor our 2024 graduates from our Master of Science and our Master of Family Therapy program. Doors will open at 1:30 pm. Guests are asked to be seated by 1:50 pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 pm.

Doctoral Hooding Ceremony

May 2 | 2 pm 

St. Francis Hospital Auditorium (Columbus) 

Medical School Auditorium (Macon)

Medical School Auditorium (Savannah)

Join us as we honor our 2024 graduates from our Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy Program. Doors will open at 1:30 pm. Guests are asked to be seated by 1:50 pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 pm.

Commencement Ceremony

May 4 | 2 pm | Hawkins Arena - Macon Campus

Check-in for students will start at 10:00 am in the Intramural Courts. Students should be dressed in their regalia and seated in Hawkins Arena by 10:30 am for instructions. For more information, please view the commencement guide.

Commencement Volunteers

The 2024 School of Medicine commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 4. We are currently seeking student volunteers to help out behind the scenes to make this day extra special for your peers! Medical student volunteers will need to be in white coat attire. Lunch will be provided.


If you are interested in volunteering, complete this sign-up form by April 19.

Rural Pediatric Continuing Education Conference

May 17 |  9 am - 4 pm | Presidents Dining Room (Macon)

The Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center will host a free in-person, full-day continuing education conference focused on fostering innovation in rural pediatric care. Topics include:

  • Telehealth Specialty Care in Rural Georgia
  • Addressing Disparities in Hearing Health Care
  • Pediatric Endocrinology—Innovations in Managing Obesity
  • Sleep Medicine: Bridging Gaps in Care for Sleep Challenges
  • Pediatric Provider Panel Discussion: Innovative Ways to Address Patient Challenges

Class of 2027 Merch Sale

The Columbus class of 2027 is currently hosting a MUSM merch sale. Items include hats, T-shirts, rain jackets, and pullovers. Prices range from $17 to $64. The sale will last until the end of April. If you have any questions, please contact Julia Stager.
