Mango Materials Celebrates Launch

 of First-of-a-Kind Technology


  • Mango Materials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of its Launch Facility at the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant in Vacaville, California.

 

  • Mango Materials is validating the use of Easterly’s biogas as a feedstock in the company’s proprietary process to produce YOPP+ biopolymer pellets as a replacement for polluting plastics.


  • Mango Material marks the seventh Biotech Company to locate facilities in the City of Vacaville.

Tunisian Manufacturing Company Announces Expansion to Temecula, CA


  • Starz Electronics, an American-Tunisian manufacturing company, announced plans to develop their first U.S. manufacturing location in Southwest Riverside County. 


  • For over 20 years, Starz Electronics has specialized in electrical and electronic manufacturing. Their new U.S. facility, Starz Energies, will manufacture lithium-ion batteries.

City of Stockton


Sonora Square Ribbon Cutting


  • The City of Stockton recently cut ribbon on the Sonora Square project. The project was an effort to to offer permanent supportive housing to individuals needing mental health services, particularly those experiencing homelessness.

  • Sonora Square Apartments is a collaborative effort between the Housing Authority County of San Joaquin (HACSJ) and San Joaquin County Behavioral Health Services.

  • This development received critical financial support from the City of Stockton. Sonora Square is an infill, adaptive reuse project with three-story new construction and commercial conversion, creating 38 one-bedroom units dedicated to mental health consumers.

City of Lathrop


MEGA ASHLEY FURNITURE CENTER EXPANDS IN THE CITY OF LATHROP


  • The Lathrop City Council approved a conditional use permit for the company’s proposed expansion that will allow for the construction of a nearly 1.5 million square foot concrete tilt-up building on Dos Reis Road.


  • It will include the largest Ashley HomeStore in the region coming in at 110,000 square feet. Almost 8% OF 1.5M square feet will serve as the showroom.

SoCal-to-Vegas bullet train receives $3B grant from feds


  • The planned high-speed rail project that will connect Las Vegas to Southern California has received a massive boost from the Biden Administration, securing $3 billion in grant funding from the federal government.


  • The estimated $12 billion project will connect Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga, where a new transit center will offer California residents the ability to transfer onto Metrolink. Brightline previously agreed to finance $10 billion for the project.


  • Brightline West plans to break ground in 2024, with hopes to have regular high-speed rail service by as early as 2027.

Western Distribution Center Accelerates

“Grant Line Business Park” in Elk Grove


  • Kubota Tractor Corporation proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art Western Distribution Center in Elk Grove


  • The 631,465-square-foot, $70 million facility, situated on 45 acres of previously city-owned land, stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts between the entire Kubota team, key city staff, and the greater Sacramento region.


  • The Western Distribution Center will bring approximately 150 permanent jobs and 400 construction jobs and is a significant addition to Elk Grove’s planned 400-acre Grant Line Business Park.

Debut in Salinas


  • Chevron’s support of Fab Labs, with their suite of digital fabrication tools and prototyping machines, foster innovation, learning and invention and are inspiring young people across the United States, to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).


  • The Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab is fully equipped with the tools and software needed to support immersive STEM learning experiences. Students engage in learning and play through project-based, digital design and fabrication processes that celebrate creativity and problem-solving.
