As an adult I've always been a bit skeptical of made up holidays. I imagine there was some good intentions there but the marketing took over and even a day to honor Abraham Lincoln was a reason for my local department store to run sales. So on this Black Friday which is not really a holiday but a shopping palooza I'll just do the same old thing I always do and point out some cool auctions ending soon on eBay.
Yesterday I did something pretty rare - I bought a patch on eBay! With the collections I purchase to resell I am constantly scratching my itch to get cloth. But this one snuck up on me....a patch I didn't realize was a need because of a mistake on my spreadsheet. I'll tell the story next week once it arrives and is safely in hand.
Today my daughter is going to get in a day of arduous labor with me at the warehouse. Turns out college students really are broke. She is going to be sorting a ton of OA flaps by lodge number so I can get them organized and sorted.
