Global Game Jam Site

RVCC recently hosted a site for the 2024 Global Game Jam, an event that drew over 35,000 participants worldwide in over 100 countries. In total, 20 RVCC jammers built six games using the event's theme, “Make Me Laugh.”

Campus Democracy Challenge Presidents’ Council

RVCC President Michael J. McDonough will serve on the Presidents’ Council of the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge in 2024. He will join a group of 13 college and university presidents across the country charged with supporting senior leaders in higher education to foster nonpartisan democratic engagement on their campuses.

Part 1 of Student Art Exhibition

Part I of the RVCC Student Art Exhibition is on display until March 22 in the College’s Art Gallery. The show features an array of media from the following disciplines: 2D Design, Color Theory, Drawing, Interior Design, 3D Design, Sculpture, and Printmaking.

Planetarium

The RVCC Planetarium has a great lineup of shows in March, including laser concerts featuring music by Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Shakira.

The Theatre at RVCC’s 40th season will continue with the National Dance Company of Ireland performing Rhythm of the Dance, March 15, at 8 p.m.
