Pro Bono Counseling is Your Mental Health Connection

Making the decision to reach out for mental health counseling can be a vital first step to improving your overall emotional and mental well-being. It has been proven, both anecdotally and scientifically, of the benefits, effectiveness, and often life-changing impact counseling can have on a person.

Pro Bono Counseling’s mission is to remove barriers and provide relief by connecting Marylanders to mental health support. When you contact Pro Bono Counseling (PBC) for assistance, our goal is to ensure that you receive the mental health care and resources that will work for you.

“We really are your mental health connection, linking you to the support you need,” stated PBC Clinical Director Sherri Bloom. “That’s why once you are matched with a mental health clinician, our team will continue to follow up to ensure your needs are being met.”

CE Workshop Scheduled In Honor of Black History Month

Have you registered yet? In observance of Black History Month, Pro Bono Counseling will host How to Heal a Sista: A Grassroots Approach to Helping Black Women, with featured presenter Dr. Shawna Murray-Browne, on February 5.

Black women face unique mental health challenges, shaped by institutionalized racism, stigma, and the roles they hold in families and communities, yet these factors are often overlooked in therapy. This workshop equips therapists to address the distinct stressors Black women endure, helping them better understand the physical and psychological impacts.

And as a special bonus, all workshop participants will receive a discount registration code for Dr. Shawna's training intensive, Decolonizing Therapy for Black Folk, a virtual self-guided module series to earn 13 CE credits upon completion.

For All Seasons Behavioral Health & Rape Crisis Center

January is observed as National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, dedicated to educating the public about human trafficking and how to prevent it. Maryland is ranked as having one of the highest rates of human trafficking in the country. This act of modern-day slavery involves labor or commercial sex acts against a person’s will and often goes unreported or unrecognized.

For All Seasons Behavioral Health & Rape Crisis Center is part of the Maryland Regional Navigator Program which serves survivors of human trafficking on the Mid-Shore of Maryland. The program works with trafficking experts across the state, delivering awareness, education, resources to the community, outreach, and safe and confidential support to trafficking survivors and their families.
