Dear Rondout Families, Friends and Faculty,

We are pleased to share that last week's Special Seniors Day was a resounding success, with a terrific turnout of grandparents, family members, and friends. The event was a great opportunity for our students to showcase their talent and hard work.

Additionally, we would like to congratulate our beginning, cadet, and wind ensemble band groups for their outstanding performance during the band concert last night. We would also like to give a special shout out to our graduating 8th grade band members as they completed their final Spring concert.

Please take note that Tuesday, May 7, 2024, will be a 2:30 p.m. early release day. We kindly remind parents and guardians to plan accordingly for their child's transportation arrangements.

We would also like to remind parents and guardians to complete their 2024-2025 registration as soon as possible so that we can plan for the next school year. The annual registration fees are due by June 3rd.

Looking ahead, next week is staff appreciation week when we honor and recognize our amazing Rondout Team. Our " Blue Ribbon Team" is one in a million.

We are excited about the upcoming 7th and 8th grade National Honor Society Ceremony on Thursday evening, May 9th.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community.

Have a wonderful weekend! Until next time…

Dr. Jenny Wojcik

Superintendent

Ms. Elizabeth Davis

Principal

Click here to sign up for a Summer Reading Book Box

Join the fun! Swap old books and get “new” books to read this summer. For every book you bring, you get to pick a book at the swap table!

Here’s what to do:

1. Find 1-5 used books (IN GOOD CONDITION) from home that you want to trade or “swap” for keeps.

2. The books you swap must be books that another student in your grade would like to read. (For example: A 1st grader would bring books that another 1st grader would like to read.) No religious-themed books, board books, or adult books.

3. Bring books to school by Wednesday, May 22nd.

4. A special “Book Swap” ticket will be issued for every book collected.

5. Tickets are used to ‘buy’ a book(s) from the Swap Table on Thursday, May 23rd. (Tables are organized by grade.)

6. Remaining books are donated to Bernie’s Book Bank.
