Alicia Giudice Named City of Rohnert Park's Director of Development Services

ROHNERT PARK, CA - The City of Rohnert Park is pleased to announce the appointment of Alicia Giudice as the City's new Director of Development Services.


Following a nationwide recruitment, Ms. Giudice was selected from a robust pool of qualified candidates and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the City.


Ms. Giudice has served municipalities in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties for over 25 years, and has been a resident of Rohnert Park for more than two decades. Prior to joining the Rohnert Park team, she spent nearly six years at the City of San Rafael, where she most recently held the position of Community Development Director. Her experience includes leading teams and managing a broad range of complex community development projects. Ms. Giudice has extensive experience drafting policy on topics that include land use, housing, traffic, and utility/infrastructure uses in the public right-of-way. 


Ms. Giudice's commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with city departments, community partners, and stakeholders coupled with a passion for providing the best experience for community members make her a valuable addition to the City of Rohnert Park's leadership team.


City Manager Marcela Piedra expressed enthusiasm about Ms. Giudice's appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Alicia Giudice to our team as the Director of Development Services. Her extensive experience and proven track record in community development make her the ideal candidate to lead our city's development efforts. We believe that under her guidance, Rohnert Park will continue to thrive and evolve as a dynamic and business-friendly community."


Ms. Giudice expressed her excitement about the opportunity, stating, "I am honored to have been selected to lead the City’s Development Services Department. As a long-time resident, I have watched with amazement the heavy lifts, great work, and solid commitment from City staff, the Planning Commission, and the City Council. I am excited to join the City of Rohnert Park team and serve the Community in which I live." 


As Director of Development Services, Ms. Giudice will lead the city's efforts in managing land use, zoning, and development projects, and will be part of the team working to create the downtown. Ms. Guidice will work closely with city departments and community partners to achieve Rohnert Park's long-term goals.


Ms. Giudice will begin her new role on December 11, 2023.
