COMMUNITY OF SUPPORTS

for foster families

Beginning this month, NOAS is taking a more proactive approach with our foster families in order to create fun, resourceful, and enriching environments where foster parents and their children can connect with others in similar situations. Our goal is to build communities of support for foster families within existing community organizations like churches. Families will be able to share ideas, solve parenting challenges, and access community resources together.

We plan to organize events around specific themes to foster connections. These gatherings will allow families to bond over shared activities, exchange experiences, and learn from each other in a relaxed setting. Themed events also help break the ice, making it easier for participants to form lasting relationships and support networks. Building camaraderie among families is essential for their support and success.

We are looking for community sponsors to help fund these events for our families. If your organization is interested, please contact Nikole at nbaringer@noas.com. Your support is greatly appreciated and will help us to provide these families with a memorable experience. We look forward to working with you. Thank you.
