Rising Bay Area artist, and a practitioner of Drama Therapy, our New Black Voices mentee Champagne Hughes has created a theatrical experience as dynamic and vibrant as she is, an emotionally evocative new work which uses therapeutic techniques, call-and-response, song and dance, and plenty of humor to celebrate Blackness, in all of its forms.
Through immersive storytelling, therapeutic techniques, interactive call-and-response, and song and dance, Hughes explores her experiences navigating personal, artistic, and academic spaces as a Black, queer woman and artist.
With a talented and supportive team of Black creatives at her back, Hughes has set out to reclaim her story and expel her trauma, inviting audiences to bear witness and do the same. (NO MORE) adjustments promises a revelatory, dramatic encounter between artist and audience, an evening of experimental theater which will keep you on the edge of your seat!
TOP OF SHOW TALKBACK
