Fleetwood Bank Raises Nearly $8,000 For Local Charities During Annual Community Gift Basket Bingo
Fleetwood Bank recently hosted their Ninth Annual Community Gift Basket Bingo on Sunday, November 19 at the Fleetwood Grange. Every year, employees of the only bank headquartered in Berks County come together to volunteer their time to raise funds for three nonprofits within our community. The three chosen nonprofits rotate each year to help spread the wealth, but the Bank has always donated 100% of proceeds evenly among the three charities selected.
This year’s fundraiser Bingo raised more money than ever before thanks to the nearly 75 generous Fleetwood Bank customers, employees, local businesses and organizations. A total of $7,951.33 was raised and will be donated evenly to the following local nonprofits: Olivet Boys and Girls Club, the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, and CONCERN, the bank’s neighboring organization who is celebrating its 45th Anniversary this year. The Bank sold out of all 175 tickets prior to the event, which included 20 regular games of bingo, four specials valued at over $500 total, and over 50 raffle baskets and door prizes for lucky winners to enjoy. Additionally, employees and their friends and family members made baked goods to sell to raise additional funds throughout the event.

Last year’s fundraiser was also a success after a two-year break in 2020 and 2021 thanks to the pandemic, with $6,650.39 raised for local organizations. The Bank has a goal of raising $10K to celebrate its tenth annual Bingo next November, and those looking to be part of this good cause are encouraged to follow the bank’s social media pages to stay in the know for more information on how to get involved next year.
“As community bankers and the only bank headquartered in Berks County, we have and always will be committed to making meaningful differences in our local community,” said Timothy Snyder, CEO and President of Fleetwood Bank. “One of the ways we do this is through this annual event. No other bank has employees voluntarily taking the time to put something of this magnitude together to raise money for our community’s many deserving nonprofits, and year after year this event is a success thanks to our generous customers, local businesses, and employees.”

The portion of proceeds from the Bingo donated to Olivet Boys and Girls Club went directly towards Clinton Street Club’s new Homework Center and Computer Lab. “The value of this check covers the cost spent to make this happen for our Clinton kids,” explains Shawn Stankiewicz, the Clinton Site Director.
The funds raised and donated to CONCERN by the bank will directly benefit their Behavioral Health Fund. “This program provides support to individuals who are going through a mental health crisis,” explains Tricia Reedy Jones, MPA, Director of Development & Marketing for CONCERN. “In addition to offering counseling services and medication management, CONCERN's Behavioral Health Fund supports a client's additional needs, such as providing funding to help with transportation, housing and/or purchasing food.”
Animal Rescue League’s Chief Communications Officer, José Joel Delgado-Rivera, stated: "We are grateful for the support of Fleetwood Bank. Taking care of more than 5,000 animals per year takes a community to accomplish. Donations like this help us keep providing life-saving care and second chances to the animals in need throughout Berks County."

Fleetwood Bank Continues to Invest in its Business Banking Services by Hiring Industry Professional, Curin Romich, to Spearhead Business Development & Cash Management Services
Curin Romich recently joined Fleetwood Bank as the Vice President of Business Development and Cash Management. A native to the area, Romich joins the company with over 23 years in the banking industry, 12 of which she spent in supervisory roles and nine of which she spent as a Bank Officer. She has a proven track record, having served as a Branch Manager for a location with over $50 million in deposits and obtaining over $3 million in retail loans in just six months’ time – just to name a couple of her banking career achievements.
“Curin’s keen interest in customer service, sales, and relationship building align perfectly with the hospitable service we pride ourselves on at Fleetwood Bank,” said Timothy Snyder, CEO and President of Fleetwood Bank. “We are confident our customers will feel at ease working with her through the cash management and lending processes, while helping our business customers obtain continual growth through deposits within their organizations.”
A graduate of Oley Valley High School and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Curin’s dedication and loyalty to the Berks County community is evident in the numerous voluntary leadership roles she holds. Currently, she is heavily involved with the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce, is serving as a committee member of the Animal Rescue League’s Festival of Trees event for the third year in a row, and is co-chairing the Auction Committee for Safe Berks’ upcoming Celebration of Peace event in February. Curin has sat on the Board of the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce since November 2022 and serves as committee chair for new members, meeting with them to discuss all of the benefits they receive as part of the chamber. She has also helped facilitate women only networking events for chamber members, and she further strengthens her support of women in business through being actively engaged with Alvernia University’s Women’s Council and Berks Women in Motion. She most recently joined the Board of The Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance in October of this year.
Curin’s commitment to her high school alma mater is apparent through her serving as Board Vice President of the Oley Valley Community Library since 2018, being an active member of the Oley Valley Business Association since 2017, and serving as a committee member of the Oley Valley Athletic Hall of Fame since August 2023. She has been the Treasurer of the Friends of the Exeter Township Police Department, where she currently resides, since 2022.
“I’m so excited to be part of Fleetwood Bank because I was born and raised in Berks County, and we are the only bank headquartered here – an area I know very well and hold close to my heart. People do business with people they know, like, and trust, so joining a Bank that is composed of local decision makers that value the community and giving back to it as much as I do just made sense,” states Romich.

Accomplished Certified Public Accountant and Business Professional, Becky Iannelli, Brings Industry Knowledge to Board
Becky Iannelli, CPA, has joined the Board of Directors of Fleetwood Bank and Fleetwood Bank Corporation. Since October 2019, she has served as the Executive Director of the Berks Earned Income Tax Bureau. Prior to this, Becky was the Chief Financial Officer for Boyertown Area School District, and she spent the majority of her career with RKL LLP (originally Reinsel & Company), a regional public accounting firm. As a Principal in the Audit Services Group, Becky performed and managed audits of government and not-for-profit entities. She obtained her B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.
“It is Fleetwood Bank’s pleasure to welcome Becky as our new Director. With over 25 years of experience helping government and nonprofit clients meet their financial reporting and compliance needs, her industry expertise and insight will be paramount to our Board of Directors,” said Timothy Snyder, President and CEO of Fleetwood Bank. “As a graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High School who currently resides in Exeter Township, Becky encompasses the same steadfast loyalty to community that the rest of our Board of Directors and decision makers value.” This dedication to community is apparent through Becky’s investment as a Board Member of the Foundation for Reading Area Community College since 2016 and member of Opportunity House’s board since 2020.
The draw of the governmental and not-for-profit clients at RKL is what originally interested Becky in her current position at Berks Earned Income Tax Bureau – and now also at Fleetwood Bank. “I am honored to be a part of Fleetwood Bank’s Board of Directors. As a Boyertown native, I know the importance a local bank plays in the community. The importance of giving back and helping those around us is paramount for a successful community. Beyond the financial relationship that Fleetwood Bank provides for local residents, the support of local events and organizations and sense of family make it a true community bank. I am excited to be a part of continuing Fleetwood Bank’s success,” states Becky.
