Cornerstone is excited to welcome Dr. Doug Burford as our guest preacher this Sunday! He'll be preaching on Revelation 19:6-9 with a sermon titled, "Marriage Therapy for the Bride of Christ". You can read more about Doug below. We're excited to see you at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. online!

Doug is blessed to be beginning his 40th year of marriage to Claudia. They have three married children and six grandchildren, spread out between here and Seattle. After serving as pastor to three churches in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and a house church in the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Doug has been called to serve as a professional counselor, specializing in couples therapy. Doug is a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Talbot School of Theology.

The Session has called for a Congregational Meeting to be held on Sunday, May 5th, from 10:20-10:50AM in the Library. The purpose of the meeting is to elect the following slate to serve on the Pastor Search Committee. We hope you can join us for this important meeting.

Tonight's the night! Here's a breakdown of our May Parents' Night Out:

• 97 kids are anticipating a fun night of food, games, and crafts!
• 41 parents are anticipating an evening to recharge and rejuvenate!
• 31 volunteers are helping make this event a success!

Description: Welcome in Spring with Cornerstone Social at the Arboretum on May 7th! This event is a chance to bring friends or neighbors and meet some other nature lovers. Stick around after your stroll to have coffee or a snack at the cafe in the new visitors center. The best part? There is no entrance fee on Tuesday's! Be sure to RSVP so we know to expect you!

Our next Fellowship Dinner is coming up! Join us on Thursday, May 9th from 6:00-7:30PM at Tacos 4 Life (12180 Blue Valley Pkwy Overland Park, KS 66213). This time together is a great way to meet new people and share a meal together. We hope to see you there!

The Single Mom KC is our May Mission Focus! TSMKC seeks to connect families and communities to single mothers while offering the love and hope of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through mentoring, seminars and workshops, family activities, a clothing boutique, and assistance with obtaining household goods.

Throughout May, Cornerstone will collect the following new items for The Single Mom KC (donation bags in foyer!):

• Full-size liquid body wash
• Full-size body lotion
• Full-size shampoo and/or conditioner
• Deodorant
• Toothpaste
• Make-up: eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, blush, lipstick
• Feminine hygiene products
