Hi Parkway!
Next Sunday kicks off the season of Advent -- a few weeks where followers of Jesus practice waiting and preparing to celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas. Thanks to a big crew of people who stuck around after the 10.30 service on Sunday, our trees, lights and wreaths are up! We look ready to step into Advent!
Advent is also a time where we have the chance to welcome new people and families to Parkway. Our goal in all seasons is to be a church where anyone can walk through the doors and feel welcome, and to keep living up to that goal during Advent we need people who are willing to be a part of the hospitality crew.
If you're willing to join the hospitality crew during the Advent season -- welcome people, give out bulletins, help families find the nursery, or help us reset between services -- please send a quick email to Debbie Mullen ([email protected]) to let her know you can help. She'll get you connected with our sign-up system so you can find the time that works for you.
One last Reminder for this week:
Our final MidWeek Ministries will be this Wednesday, November 29th at 6pm. Instead of breaking out into classes, we will all have a meal together! Parkway will provide brisket, sausage, and chicken from Witt Pitt BBQ in Rosenberg. If you can bring a side or a dessert to share, we should have more than enough for everyone!
