This Sunday

On this sixth Sunday of Easter, we're looking at another Spirit-filled story from Acts 10 in which the religious folks are astounded by who receives the gifts of the Spirit. What are our categories of pure and profane? And in what ways are we tempted to be withholders of inclusion or preventers of belonging?

Tim K. Murphy will lead us through this week’s Hymns & diverse musical selections for this week’s Prelude, Communion Distribution, & Postlude. Jeffrey Frederic Paul will lead the ACC Choir & Bell Choir for this week's Special Music & Offertory. Guest musician, David Latulippe, will accompany the ACC Choir on the flute. Susan Francis will be this week’s liturgist & will light the Prayer Candles.

Mollie’s Quinceañera

TOMORROW! Saturday May 4, 5-9 PM

Mollie Fuller is Javier’s and Beatriz’ granddaughter. She is often here at ACC helping Javier. Most recently she was seen washing windows in the social hall.

Mollie is celebrating her 15th birthday with a traditional party for family and friends, and all ACC is invited!

Please RSVP with Nina Harmon as soon as you can!

"May Flowers" Meditation & Labyrinth

Thursday, May 23, 6pm

Join us on Thursday, May 23, from 6 to 7:30pm for an evening of meditation, labyrinth walking, and fellowship. Bring a flower (or choose one when you arrive) to be your meditation companion for the evening. After we walk the labyrinth we’ll share food and fellowship in Social Hall. This is a great event to invite a friend to come along!

Did you know that labyrinths are known for having mental health (and overall health) benefits? Check out this article from WebMD, Labyrinths: Ancient Aid for Modern Stresses and if you haven't walked our labyrinth yet, give it a try, whether with the group or on your own any time!

Love in Action: UCC4Ceasefire

Members of the United Church of Christ have created a public statement advocating for a JUST WORLD FOR ALL by calling for a Permanent Ceasefire in Palestine, and hope to gain 1000 signatures by Pentecost when the statement will be delivered to politicians in Washington DC. You can read the statement and add your name here

Happy Birthday everyone!

We're glad you're here and we're on this ride together.
