The Arnold P. Gold Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023 Picker Gold Graduate Medical Education Challenge Grants, two exceptional projects designed to foster compassionate, patient-centered care and enhance clinical training.

The newest Picker Gold initiatives are: Just-in-Time Upstander/Allyship Resources for the Clinical Learning Environment, led by Co-Principal Investigators from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Leon McDougle, MD, MPH, and Scott Holliday, MD, and Implementation of a Novel Community-Residency Collaboration: The Med/Peds – YAP Longitudinal Partnership led by Principal Investigator Aarti Bhatt, MD, of the University of Minnesota.

NEW GOLD RESOURCE LIBRARY SPOTLIGHT: The Gold Resource Library features many diverse collections categorized by theme, format, and audience. This month, we are spotlighting the Climate & Health Collection, which shares websites, toolkits, and articles that highlight the intersection between climate change and health. The collection offers a particular emphasis on raising awareness of the health impact on marginalized populations and actions that can be taken to mitigate adverse events and promote health equity.

The essay contest is named for Hope Babette Tang-Goodwin, MD, an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, whose approach to medicine combined a seemingly limitless enthusiasm for her work, intellectual rigor, and deep compassion for her patients.
Dartmouth’s Gold Humanism Honor Society chapter celebrates artwork honoring the Abenaki people of the Upper Valley
Project HEAL, part of Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth’s chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS), recently unveiled a new work of art honoring the Abenaki people of the Upper Valley in Vermont.

Project HEAL (health, education, art, and lives) was founded to promote anti-racism and critical self-reflection in both the Upper Valley and medical school through art, education, and advocacy.

The Gold Foundation will be part of Medallia’s Experience conference in February 2024, which will highlight the latest innovations in Experience management technology. We hope you will join us!
