YEAR IN REVIEW:

Accomplishments of YOUR Ministry Partnership and a Matching Gift Opportunity
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
-Ephesians 3:20-21
Greetings!

The year 2023 was truly a year to remember! With God’s empowerment, we were able to go ABOVE & BEYOND all we can ask or imagine. This is all because of the power that is at work within US—meaning each and every one of you who have supported us through your prayers and generosity. Through your support, the nations are basking in the beauty of the Lord and His salvation!
Rejoice with us in all that God has done through YOU and the CCI team in 2023!
  • 997 new trainers (multipliers) were equipped to start new classes through 71 workshops
  • 176 new classes were started, with 2,337 new workers in training
  • 31 classes graduated with 356 servants of the Lord trained & equipped to serve
  • 1,740 pastors and church leaders were equipped with biblical stewardship training
  • 776 church leaders were equipped with other training for effective ministry
  • 43 pastors were equipped with Advanced Expository Preaching to proclaim and teach God’s Word clearly and effectively
  • 202 staff, coordinators, teachers, and partners from 15 nations and over 20 people groups gathered in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for our fourth Global Conference!
We could not have done this without YOU and the Holy Spirit empowering us! Thank you for your partnership with us for the glory of God!
Here is a testimony from Andrew Victor, one of our coordinators from Uganda, on the impact of the Global Conference in Thailand. (Andrew is pictured with Glenn Kurka, CCI VP of Operations, at the Global Conference.)
“Dr. David Nelson, it was a great blessing for me to meet you again; the teachings, the eye-opening vision, and the mission of CCI as it unfolds my personal vision as well for the nations. I am sure by this time, you are aware of my zeal for the ministers in nations, not only in Africa but any part of the world where doors are open. My fire is so high. I really thank God that through CCI, a great door and gate has been opened for me to walk and operate in this passion. I continue to find satisfaction in serving my Lord Jesus through this door.”
By God’s grace and your partnership, we have now equipped over 22,000 workers serving in the harvest fields. Let me share with you the testimony of one of these workers that I met while I was in New Zealand this past April. Peter joined a class several years ago and shared this testimony at his graduation.
“As a young man, I wanted to go to Bible school, but I never had the opportunity, and I didn’t know how I’d ever get there. My friend Gary had friends taking CCI courses at a local church. The beauty of this course is you can do this course while you’re still at your church. You don’t have to leave your job. Gary brought me to the church. They happened to be starting in Book 1 on the very first lesson that very day. I found out that this happens only every 6 or 7 years. The Lord reminded me of this every year, and this helped me keep going. While I was in the course, a chaplain invited me to do some volunteer work at a local prison. I went out there, and as I was talking with some guys one-on-one, I immediately realized that I loved this and that this is what God had made me for. Shortly afterward, a position opened up to work there, and I applied. Because I was taking this course, they hired me! What you guys put into me, I’m now putting into others.”
What a testimony! Another moving testimony this year is about a little boy whom God used to bring his family to Christ.
A house church in Southeast Asia has a children's program that meets every Sunday to study the Bible and worship. They invite all the children who live around the church to join. A non-Christian boy started to come to the church after a neighbor boy invited him to attend. One year later, his mother noticed a difference in her son’s life. She wondered how this church could change her son. The mother came to church and joined the children's service for observation. There, she learned that Jesus died for her sins and rose again. She accepted Christ and became a follower of the Lord; afterward, her husband, family, and other relatives became followers of Christ. It all began from witnessing this young boy's life. The whole family was saved!
This is just like the story of the little boy in John 6 who surrendered his lunch (5 loaves and 2 fish) to Jesus. Jesus multiplied his food and fed 5,000 men and their families.
Just like these two little boys Jesus used, God can also use you. He can take your lunch and multiply it to feed thousands. This is what God can do. He can do ABOVE & BEYOND whatever we ask or think.

We praise the Lord for these testimonies and the new workers for the harvest. However, we have 61 coordinators (like Andrew Victor) and staff whose support runs out at the end of this year. Thanks to generous friends of the ministry, we have a matching gift of $60,000 that runs through the end of this year. All gifts that are new or above regular giving will go toward this matching gift. These 61 coordinators are training over 3,500 workers of the Lord. Just think of what God can do through your gift. He can multiply it to serve thousands of workers who will, in turn, proclaim the gospel of God’s grace and love to thousands who do not know Him!

As we approach the end of the year, please prayerfully consider a generous investment for the work of God through CCI.

Grace and Peace,
David Nelson
