Celebrity Chef Dishes Out Some New Lunch Menu Items
In partnership with locally renowned Chef Zach Bell and No Kid Hungry Florida, students at Allamanda Elementary enjoyed trying new plant-forward school lunch options.

Allowing students to taste-test the new falafel dish and getting two thumbs up was the objective before the District's School Food Service adds it to all school lunch menus.

Chef Bell’s dish boasts three distinct plant-based layers:
A nutritious ancient grain blend of brown rice, quinoa, and kale forms the hearty base; Succulent roasted vegetables, including cauliflower florets and maple-glazed sweet potatoes; and Crispy falafel nuggets add a punch of plant-based protein.
