Dear neighbors,

The City of Buda has been hard at work moving projects forward. Thank you for joining us at the recent open houses, take a look at what you can expect below!

Buda Bonds 2021 Updates

Project Updates and Milestones

Austin Street Reconstruction

The preliminary design for the Austin Street Reconstruction project began earlier this year and is expected to be complete in the Spring with final design beginning this Summer.

The design team will be in the project area over the next couple of weeks conducting field investigations to get a better understanding of the area as they continue with the preliminary design.

City Park Parking Lot

The contractor, Harris Road Company, is preparing the area to begin construction following geotechnical surveys earlier this month and the project is expected to be complete late Spring 2024. The parking lots will provide 120 spaces to City Park that will be close to the pavilion and the local trails.

Old Black Colony Road

The design consultant, K Friese + Associates, is refining the preliminary design and expects to begin the final design later this Spring.

Be on the lookout for an additional public meeting and input opportunities as we move into final design.

Middle Creek Drive

Main Street East Extension

Open House

Thank you for your participation in the Middle Creek Drive open house that was held on Jan. 17, 2024! The project team shared project background information with residents and gathered feedback on the proposed improvements. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!

The City of Buda was happy to share more information about the Main Street East Extension project at the open house that was held on Jan. 31, 2024. We appreciate your input as it will guide the project as it moves forward. Stay tuned for more updates!

Upcoming Meetings: Buda Bond Oversight Committee (BBOC)

The BBOC will hold their next meeting on Monday, March 18 at City Hall (405 Loop St, Buda, TX 78610) at 6:30 p.m. BBOC meetings are open to the public and we encourage you to join us to learn more about the 2021 Buda Bonds projects!

Other City Updates

Buda Sportsplex

The Buda Sportsplex has undergone multiple maintenance upgrades such as:

New grass installation on the soccer fields
Infield clay additions to the softball fields
Fertilizer/sand upgrades to the softball outfields
Electrical upgrades such as Wi-Fi

You can expect to see a more outlined facility that is game ready! Take a look at the drone footage below to see the work that has been done so far.
