Shamik Bhattacharyya is the program leader in autoimmune neurology and the incumbent Anne Finucane Distinguished Chair in Neurology. He completed medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and trained in neurology at the joint BWH-MGH neurology residency. He joined the faculty of neurology at BWH in 2015 and has led the development of the autoimmune neurology/neuro-rheumatology clinic. He has a large clinical practice and leads clinical studies and trials focused on discovering triggers of acute relapses and treatments. He especially enjoys teaching neurology to medical students, residents, and fellows.
