LONG-RANGE PLANNING TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Church Family,

The Constitution is ready for your review. The Long-Range Planning Team is presenting its rewrite of our Church Constitution and Bylaws. The document has been reviewed by both elected leadership teams of the church -- that is, the Administrative Leadership Council and the Deacons.

The primary revision was approved by the church 18 months ago as a Transition Plan to ease our movement into a new way to do church administration. This document includes how we now administer Church ministry and business.

It also includes a new policy related to membership in the church (Article 1, Section 2), which was drafted by the Deacons and approved by members of the Long-Range Planning team.

The full document is attached here for you to read carefully and prayerfully. Printed copies will be available in the vestibules and Welcome Center Sunday morning.

We will discuss the document over lunch on Sunday, April 21, and vote on the new document in church conference Sunday, April 28 after worship.

In Christ,

Nell Bovender, Chair; Lynn Blanton, Daryl Camper, Lori Herrick, Frank Jones, Penny Parker, Mike Stephenson

FAB BEGINS THIS WEEK!

The first FAB of the year is this Friday, April 5 on Central Street! Event begins at 6pm. You are invited to bring a chair and join us at our booth (behind Main St Market). We'll be offering free hand's on activities for children (no skills needed!).

This is a great time to meet our community!

MIDWIVES OF A MOVEMENT FILM

Midwives of a Movement, a documentary film chronicling the stories of the women who boldly birthed a movement to seek greater visibility and opportunities for women in the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) 40 years ago, is being shown at First Baptist Church of Asheville on Sunday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m.

If you'd like to attend the screening together, and grab dinner in Asheville afterwards, reach out to Aimee.

THANK YOU!

Church Family,

It was such a nice surprise at Valentine's Day to receive my box of goodies. Thank you so much for the constant love & support!

Gratefully,

Grier Hodge
