Traffic and Safety Issues

We often hear suggestions from residents on implementing new street signage or changing speed limits to help ensure road safety for drivers and pedestrians. While we encourage safe driving practices on our streets, roadways are the property and responsibility of the City of South Jordan. Watch the video below to learn how the City of South Jordan addresses reported traffic issues, and consider reaching out to them next time you notice something related to traffic that can be improved.

Winter Reminders

Using Caution Near Oquirrh Lake

As a reminder, please be cautious while around the lake this winter. Keep a safe distance when the lake is frozen over and never walk onto the ice. Anyone found on the ice will be trespassed and subject to amenity suspension.

Please keep children close and ensure pets are always on leash. Finally, remember ice fishing is never permitted on Oquirrh Lake.

Snow Pushing Reminders

During snow events, South Jordan City requires residents to park on the even side of the street. The Association does not begin snow pushing until the end of a snow event with at least 2” of snow accumulation or more. To stay prepared, please keep a shovel and ice melt handy.

As a reminder, single-family homeowners are responsible for removing snow from the public sidewalks surrounding their homes per South Jordan City Ordinances. Visit the link below for more info.

2024 Dog Park Closure Calendar

We have a new closure schedule for the Dog Park! To protect the Dog Park and ensure the sustainability of the amenity, the park will close for a week each month to allow the turf to recover. These closures will occur between the 1st and 7th of each month.

Please follow the rules of the Dog Park to ensure that it remains an enjoyable place for all residents and their pets. Also, please be courteous and pick up after your pet.
